The story

Highlanders Mountain Adventures, was founded by two friends and an honest passion for winter sports. Teo and Nicolas started skiing at the age of 3 together, spending most of the time surrounded by this amazing caucasian mountains. Time passed, they split, went to different universities and got different professions but the passion for the sport never disappeared.

Five years ago, Teo went to France and took a Ski instructor course that qualified her as a Ski teacher, while Nicolas was joining Georgian Ski team and training with them in different mountains of the Alps. After a while, they both started to work as instructors at Gudauri, met each other again, and the sons of the high-lands teamed up to give you the best snow experience in Georgia!

Our instructors are local from Georgia and all have experience teaching skiers of all ages and ability levels in English. Being travelers ourselves, we appreciate the difficulties of visiting a new destination, and we’re here to help make your ski trip to Georgia as easy and exciting as possible!

The Gudauri mountain
Mount Gudauri has developed infrastructure that includes the biggest level drop in Georgia and unlimited opportunities for freeriding and backcountry skiing (ski-touring). Gudauri attracts mountain lovers from around the world. This region in Georgia is popular by its spectacular views and high-altitude mountains. Snow covers the area until early spring with tracks streching for 57 km, meeting all global requisite standards having lifts up to 3,285 m high. Gudauri is located a mere 120 km from the capital Tbilisi, having many locals coming to ski there one time a day. Gudauri attracts an ever-increasing number of both beginner and advanced enthusiasts of winter sports. Those who like extreme challenges can even go on exclusive mountain slalom trips, rent helicopters that take them up to mountain peaks covered in fluffy snow where you can see some truly spectacular views of the Caucasus Mountains, and tap into the limitless possibilities of free skiing.

The Kazbegi mountain
Mount Kazbegi, also known as Mkinvari - glaciar peak - it's a dormant stratovolcano and one of the major mountains of the Caucasus located on the border of Georgian Kazbegi district and Russian Republic of North Ossetia. It is the third highest peak in Georgia with 5054 m and the seventh highest in Caucasus mountains. This is one of the most amazing sights of Georgia with clean air and breathtaking views, worth a visit in good weather conditions. It is very popular between climbers and tourists that every year go there to climb up to the peak or to see Gergeti church on the way to the top.  It is also very popular in spring for skitouring, when the snow is melted on the slopes people still can go up on the mount Kazbegi and ski down from the top of the mountain.
